Stitching Hearts - Beaniefest 2022

As I began creating this exhibition/competition beanie in November 2021 I had a detailed vision in my head. Maybe not the actual details that I am now working on, but I did see a fully detailed front collage of many elements, The back was less clear, but I knew that I would have a large canvas to work with.

It is now nearly the end of March and I am well into it, not far off completion maybe, and I am just about to send off my 10 beanies for Beanie Central, early for a change. This weekend I have selected the final 10 and filled in the form, written and attached their swingtags. I forgot to add my usual third tag, my personal one, so found some I'd made myself some time ago which has this wixsite address on it. Luckily I checked it out, and realised I had at some later date, been able to change the URL, taking out a '-1 at the end of YarnSpirit. So I then whited-out the -1 and proceeded to look thru the shop listings and then the blog-posts.

Having started this wixsite back in 2018, in the midst of heavy brain-fog courtesy of ME/CFS, when I believed I was locked out of previous blogs, I haven't really posted much in here. (also courtesy of ME/CFS and the fatigue that still plagues me)

For online sales, I am considering moving to a Square platform, as Etsy who I have been with since 2008, is not what it once was, and is considering increasing it's fees. Not that I have ever sold very much online, as compared to my market and roadside stalls. The shop I have here on Wix, is not functional, I have discovered as I haven't bought a monthly subscription, so maybe just another learning curve. '
