Irmangka Irmangka Bush Rub is a traditional Anangu Bush Medicine from Central Australia.

A 145ml tub of traditional Anangu Bush Medicine, made from Irmangka Irmangka, Bush Rub,  (Eremophila alternifolia). Picked by Nelly Patterson, a senior law woman of Uluru and surrounding country, and made up by me.

It is a wonderful anti-inflammatory, for painful joints, sore muscles, headaches, colds, rheumatism, arthritis, minor skin issues, insect bites and stings, and skin moisturiser. It also contains coconut oil and beeswax.

Currently Out of Stock

Due to the dry climate of Central Australia, Irmangka Irmangka grows small and slowly, needing rains.  When it is strong and aromatic after good rains, it is highly sought after by all the local women, to replenish their dwindling tubs. They set to, and make more, for all their community.

Having learnt to make it and use it every day myself, I also run out. Luckily, I am nuturing two different, similar plants, found as seedlings here, (east caost northern rivers, NSW) of Kunzea, an east coast alternative.  I am now into my second harvest, and thanks to a very wet summer here, the third harvest is not far off.
